The Libera Accademia di Belle Arti wants to be an important point of mediation between the latest artistic tendencies and the sensitivity of a city like Florence which has given great value to its artistic heritage and has developed a strong cultural identity.

TRADITION AND EXPERIMENTATION

The Academy pursues contemporary artistic tendencies without renouncing tradition, which is the basis of any experimentation. The Academy aims at training professionals who possess technical as well as creative instruments in order to be competitive in the work field, and constantly capable to adapt themselves to new experiences.

A POLYTECHNIC FOR THE ARTS
The Liberal Academy of Fine Arts, recognized by the MIUR (Italian Ministry of Universities and Research), with Painting, Graphic Design and Multimedia, Design, Photography, Restoration,
(with evening classes too) becomes a Polytechnic for the Arts where technology merges with technique for a new concept in aesthetics. Besides the Academic Courses the Academy also runs Professional and Liberal courses in many disciplines.

CREATIVITY, QUALITY, PROFESSIONALISM

Artistic research takes into great consideration new technological resources for a greater functionality and flexibility requested by all new professions. The Academy offers an educational program where technology merges with technique for a new concept in aesthetics.

DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE WORLD OF ART...

The Academy provides an excellent and experienced teaching staff, who, together with the curricular subjects, frequently, organize meetings and seminars with artists, art critics, as well as experts in industry and artistic handcraft. Visiting galleries and museums and having cultural exchanges with other Academies and European Universities is extremely important. Students' works are often exhibited in order to have public response. Also, the Institute organizes conferences on important themes in art and culture.

DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE WORLD OF WORK

Whilst attending the courses, students have the opportunities to do some work experiences promoted by the Academy together with firms in the multimedia field, design, applied arts, restoration as well as staging for theatre shows and exhibitions.
