LIBERAL COURSES: GRAPHIC DESIGN

The non vocational courses, organized by L.A.B.A. ONLY FOR EUROPEAN STUDENTS, are offered in three month or yearly (November-May) periods. The courses are available in flexible hours; morning, afternoon and evening. All of them are conducted by qualified and professional teachers. A certificate will be issued at the end of each course, released by L.A.B.A. (Libera Accademia di Belle Arti legally recognized by ministerial decree ( D.M.) 27.04.2000).

2 creativity
MY WORDS (creative lettering)
The research project for the new methods of aesthetic valorization of a "naming". The project aims to develop a method for the invention of words (naming) that don't exist by the analysis of the phonetic value and of the shape of the letters which compose the new words.
Through the research of the right font and the modification of it, the color and the shape of words will be obtained.
The final step, through the use of the most varied and odd materials, will be the realization of the words.
The aim of the course is to realize works with a high emotional and aesthetic value.

3 images elaboration
Imagining (writing using the images)
The image as a language of communication. Usage and elaboration of the images made or "collected" by the students. Images' utilization in order to express concepts, sensations and emotions. The value of the images in the communication.

4 phase practical project (workshop)
ARTWORDS (assigning character to the words)
Realizing projects of lettering that inspire concepts. The final result should be assignation of the esthetic value to the verbal expressions. Some concepts to be develop in the graphic way are: dynamism, rhythm, metamorphosis, softness, hardness. Other concepts to be developed during the course will be decided by the teacher.
